ICE IN THE AREA OF BALI ISLAND ARE REGARDLESS, SIGNS OF DANGER FOR EARTH? ( ARTICLE REVIEW )

The United States Satellite observed this boulder on July 12, 2017, when the iceberg was split from an area known as the Larsen ice sheet C. Quoted from the BBC, Thursday (13/7/2017), scientists have previously suspected it. They have been monitoring the development of major cracks in Larsen for more than a decade. Crack propagation has increased since 2014, making the possibility of a breakdown of ice chunks getting bigger. Ice chunks with thickness more than 200 meters predicted will not move far. However, it still needs to be monitored because the currents of water and wind can push it north of Antarctica. It could pose a danger to the cargo ship. Larsen C is a large, floating ice formed from a glacier that flows from the eastern part of the Antarctic Peninsula to the ocean. When entering the water, their floating ice is lifted to form a mountain-like formation. According to scientists, Larsen C is currently in its smallest area since the end of the Ice Age which occurred about 11,700 years ago. The two closest ice sheets, Larsen A and Larsen B had vanished during the turn of the century. The heating temperatures of the Earth also play a role in the disappearance of the matter. With the release of the latest ice chunk, Larsen C lost 12 percent of its territory.
